Maharaja Jai Singh II (1693-1743) founded the Rose Pink City of Jaipur, is the capital of Rajasthan. This city is a major location for any visitor who likes to explore some amount of adventure and historic monuments. Jaipur is in the middle of some rough and tough hills, crowned with proud and strong standing forts & enclosed by embattled walls. The houses in the pink city of Jaipur is known for the color pink that is very visible in the line of the streets with their rose pink color, lending enchantment to the scene, which is almost magical at sunset.

The Old City (Known as the Pink City) is a great place to discover and rediscover with the passing time, as one can go on and on with places. Maharaja Man Singh II painted the whole city in Pink color, when Prince of Wales, later Edward VII, visited Jaipur in 1876 AD. This was a law that was enforced and also obliged with. A very well planned and organized place and it is a definite treat to any visitor who visits this city for the first time.

Jaipur & its surroundings are rather like an endless museum that goes on and on and also the fact that this stands strong in the city. The city also offers an endless variety of crafts and other items like Jewellery and handicrafts. Jewelers here still work on the beautiful enamel-on-gold pendants, studded on the reverse with precious stones or pearls & turquoise that one sees in miniature paintings.
